7-27 Tokarczyk-Wade wedding

Rebecca Tokarczyk of Palestine and Kaylon Wade of Nacogdoches were married June 14 at First Christian Church of Palestine. The Rev. Ed Williamson of Cushing officiated.

The couple exchanged vows before a pedestal arrangement of shades of pink roses, snap dragons, larkspur, oriental lilies, white hydrangea, green Bells of Ireland, dendrobium orchids and various foliages. A pair of 15-branch and nine-branch candelabra embellished with ivy, pink roses and green dendrobium orchids completed the candle light setting. Family pews were marked with pomanders of green Yoko Ono pompoms.

Parents of the bride are Mark and Annett Tokarczyk of Palestine. Parents of the groom are Donnie and Norma Wade of Nacogdoches.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore designer Maggie Sottero one-piece, vintage taffeta and vidal lace a-line strapless corset back gown. Features include an elegant lace overlay on the bodice that creates an asymmetrical lowered waist. A taffeta empire band sprinkled with crystals decorates the bodice. The taffeta skirt is accented with gentle folds of fabric that are upswept at the side to reveal the enchanting lace hem. Rich lace appliques adorn the chapel train.

The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of pink Esperance, Ravel and Green Tea roses, mini calla lilies, peonies, Acapulco lilies and green hypericum berries wrapped in ivory bridal satin ribbon.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Rachel Coker, sister of the bride, of Galveston.

Bridesmaids were Taylor Denison of Palestine, Sherrie Fontenot of Houston and Kim Mathews of Nacogdoches.

Attendants wore strapless A-line clover green dresses with rose petal pink tied sash to accent the waistline.

They carried hand tied bouqets of pink Ravel and Livia roses, gerberas, alstroemerias, lilies, and green hypericum berries wrapped in pink bridal satin ribbon.

Best man was Aaron Wade, brother of groom, of Galveston. Groomsmen were Ryan Tokarczyk of Palestine, Kelly Wagnon of Lufkin and Aaron Scott of Arlington.

Ushers were Sam Coker of Galveston and Jerrod Hicks of Mansfield.

Scripture reading was by Ashley Canty of Nacogdoches.

Bridal attendant was Brittany Birdwell of Palestine.

Providing music was pianist Jeanie Lockett of Palestine.

A reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held at East Texas Museum of Culture. Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Palestine.

The bride is a graduate of Stephen F Austin State University with a bachelor's degree in science and nursing. She is employed at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler as a registered nurse in the emergency department. The groom is a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and Angelina Fire Academy. He is employed at the Palestine Fire Department.
