Ives-Woody wedding

Kaysie Marie Ives and Thomas James Woody, both of Palestine, were married Aug. 21 at First Christian Church of Palestine.

The Rev. Ray Prince of Palestine read vows before an altar decorated with two seven candle  candelabras and the alter table was draped in ivory with candles, rose petals and an arrangement of garden roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus and fuchsia  stock.

Parents of bride are James R. and Michelle Ives of Palestine and parents of the groom are Jamie Piersol and the late Randall Woody of Palestine.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless candlelight designer gown by Haute Courture. The rouged dropped waist bodice was accented with a satin bow and a rhinestone brooch. The trumpet style gown with a sweetheart neckline had a cathedral train. The bride wore a designed waltz-length veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of fresh flowers of ranunculus, hydrangeas, Fuchsia  stock and shades of pink and white garden roses hand-tied with ivory satin ribbon.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Courtney Johnson, sister of the bride, of Palestine.

Bridesmaids were Erika Piersol, sister of the groom, of Houston; Magen Douglas, Julie Johnson and Jamie Conklin, friends of the bride, all of Palestine.

Attendants wore strapless charcoal gray gowns from the Dessy Collection. They carried bouquets of fresh flowers accenting the bridal bouquet in shades of pink.

Flower girl was Addison Kimmel of Rockwall.

Ring bearer was Treece Kimmel of Rockwall.

Best man was Jeffrey Howell, friend of the groom, of Palestine.

Groomsmen were Briley Pierson, brother of the groom of Palestine; Devon Hassell, friend of the groom, of Palestine; Kyle Johnson, brother-in-law of the bride, of Palestine and Jerrod Hicks, friend of the groom, of Dallas.

Ushers were Kyle Johnson and Briley Piersol both of Palestine.

Providing music was pianist Jodi Grammer of Palestine and soloist Linda Lee of Palestine.

A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at the Palestine Civic Center.

House party members included Laura Ives, cousin of the bride, Mandy Britton, friend of the bride, Allison Linam, friend of the bride and Shelby Lambright, friend of the bride.

Following a wedding trip to Secrets Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple will reside in Kemp.

The bride is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is employed at East Texas Medical Center in Gun Barrell City.

The groom is a graduate of Westwood High School and is employed in Medical Sales with Kimwood Products.
