Tubbs-Nix wedding

Ashley Tubbs and Robbie Nix, both of Palestine, were married Sept. 25 at Country Carousel of Montalba.

Judge Carl Davis of Palestine read vows before an altar decorated with ivy, white lilies and white roses lighted with clear lights.

Parents of the bride are Michael and Deborah McClure of Palestine and parents of the groom are Theresa Nix and Jimmy Evans of Palestine and Robert and Nancy Nix of Palestine.

Escorted by her father the bride wore a white satin A-line strapless gown, chiffon split overlay and metallic embroidery with chapel train.

The bride carried a bouquet of pink lilies, white roses and alstroemeria.

Attending the bride was matron of honor Jennifer Pesce, best friend of the bride, of Palestine.

Bridesmaids were Samantha Toombs of Tomball; Melissa Carlisle of Shreveport, LA; Cara Morman and Amberly Nix both of Palestine.

Junior bridesmaid was Savannah Chavez of Palestine.

Attendants wore clover green satin ball gowns.

They carried bouquets of white roses.

Flower girl was Lyndsey Tubbs of Palestine.

Ring bearer was Millage Talley of Palestine.

Best man was Matt Ford, friend of the groom, of Midlothian.

Groomsmen were Chris Salyer; Bill Hightower; Matt Nix and Clay Jones, all of Palestine.

Usher was Matt Nix of Palestine.

Providing music was DJ Sonny James of Palestine and soloist Marla Schwartz of Thorndale.

A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at Country Carousel.

House party members included Amy Hightower, friend of the bride; Pam Ford, friend of the bride; Crystal Henson, sister of the bride and Marla Schwartz, friend of the family.

Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, NV, the couple will reside in Palestine.

The bride is a graduate of Westwood High School and is employed at Boondock Machine.

The groom is a graduate of Westwood High School and is employed at ETA Global.
