George-Peer wedding

Audrey Nicole George of Dallas and Mark Eugene Peer of Garland were married Sept. 25 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Monsignor Donald Zimmerman of Dallas and the Rev. Monsignor Gerald Priest of Longview.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey George Sr. of Texarkana. She is the granddaughter of Agnes George and the late Jesse George of Palestine, and the late Doris Neyland and the late Fred Totah Jr. of Victoria.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Peer of Garland. He is the grandson of Marjorie Malone of Denver, Colo., and the late Virgil Peer of Boscobel, Wis., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Chaney of Menominee Falls, Wis.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a fitted white A-line gown designed by Maggie Sottero. The exquisitely romantic gown made of Godavari Silk features an asymmetrically pleated bodice that extends below the waist into bustles and is accented with handmade Valencia Organza rosettes. Accenting the dress was a cathedral length veil and a strand of pearls that belonged to her great-grandmother, Effie Totah.  

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of ivory Vendella and white Eskimo roses, tuberose flourets, gypsophelia, seeded eucalyptus and English ivy adorned with rhinestones.  Attached to the bouquet, the bride also carried a handkerchief that belonged to her great-grandmother, Jasmine Totah and a rosary that she received as an infant from her grandmother, Agnes George.

Attending the bride as her maid of honor was her sister, Jessica George, of Denton.

Bridesmaids were cousin of the bride, Sarah George of Palestine; sister of the groom, Kimberly Peer of Garland; and friends of the bride, Kathryn Nohrden of Sterling, Mass., Alexis Levine of Dallas and Adrianna Lacarra and Megan Autrey of Irving.

Attendants wore toffee colored satin-faced taffeta floor length gowns designed by Jim Hjelm in the style of their choice.

The attendants carried hand tied bouquets of mauve Blue Moon, Crème de la Crème and Esperance roses, cream hypericum berries, and bupleurum and seeded eucalyptus.

Flower girl was cousin of the bride, Jamie Lyke of Schaumburg, Ill.

Ring bearer was cousin of the bride, Brandon Sayegh of Plano.

House party members included cousins of the bride, Kristina George and Caitlin George of Lufkin, and friend of the bride, Connie Haning of Grand Prairie.

Best man was friend of the groom, Chuck Hamilton of Sachse.

Groomsmen were brother of the bride, Jeffrey George Jr. of Texarkana; and friends of the groom, Scott Buckner of Wylie, Ryan Brown of Frisco, Ryan Ables and Darrance Neroes of Dallas, and Jamie Stewart of Corinth.

Ushers were cousins of the bride, Jesse George III, Joseph George and Philip George of Palestine, and Jacob George of Tyler; and friends of the groom, Brian Tutt of Frisco and Scott Post of McKinney.

Gift bearers were cousins of the bride, Randy George Jr. of Lufkin, and Richard Miller and Christopher Miller of Palestine.

Alter servers were cousins of the bride, Janalee Lyke of Schaumburg, Ill., and Jacob Totah of Dallas.

Readers were aunts of the bride, Marie Totah of Dallas, and Mary Beth George of Palestine.

Eucharistic ministers were aunt and uncle of the bride, Sam and Nanci Totah of Houston.

The music was directed by organist Henry McDowell of Dallas, featuring violinist Dave Wolcott of Dallas and vocalist Maria Byrne of Texarkana.

A reception hosted by the bride's parents took place at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas.

Immediately following the reception, the couple departed for St. John, Antigua, where they honeymooned for six nights.  

The couple now resides in Dallas.

The bride is a high school graduate with honors of Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana and a college graduate of University of Texas at Arlington with a B.B.A., cum laude, in Business Administration. The bride was a member of Delta Sigma Pi and is currently employed at Texans Insurance Group in Dallas.  

The groom is a high school graduate of North Garland High School in Garland and a college graduate of University of North Texas in Denton with a B.B.S. in Kineseology. The groom was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and is currently employed at Metro Tickets in Dallas.
