05-22 police cars-01

Palestine Police officials are asking the public to limit their in-person visits to the department.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Palestine Police Department is requesting residents limit trips to the police department lobby.

Information, or the filing of reports of non-violent incidents should be handled via telephone, in an attempt to keep PPD officers healthy and on the job.

Residents should call PPD dispatch at 903-729-2254, and choose the “0” option when prompted. The dispatcher will take down the information, and an officer will call back.

PPD officials stress this is for non-violent crimes that have already occurred, and for information only; all police services and the 911 center are fully staffed and operational.
