Westwood's Monica Wilson has committed to play basketball for Oklahoma Wesleyan University, a four-year college in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. While playing for the Lady Eagles, Wilson will pursue a business degree and plans to become a real estate agent. After leading the Lady Panthers as point guard and this year's MVP, Wilson was named District Defensive Player of the Year. She has been a multi-sport lettermane for the Lady Panthers, also earning 1st Team All-District honors in volleyball, and Honorable Mention as a right fielder in softball. In track, Monica went to Area on the 4x400M relay and was an alternate on the Regional Sprint Relay team. Monica, the daughter of Angelia Wilson and Melvin Butler, made her commitment with OKWU official in a ceremony at Westwood High School on Thursday afternoon.
