A meeting of the minds

Anderson County Sheriff Rudy Flores has organized a a monthly Sheriff’s Intelligence & Information Sharing Meeting with sheriff’s from Henderson, Houston, Cherokee, Freestone, Leon, and Navarro counties.

Each month a different sheriff will host the meeting and invite officers and agencies from the surrounding areas.

The goal is to share investigative resources and information to better serve their respective counties.

Flores hosted the first of those Thursday, Jan. 21.

The meeting was attended by officers representing city, county, and state law enforcement agencies, as well as Anderson County District Attorney Allyson Mitchell.
