The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in reference to a mower theft over the weekend in the Tennessee Colony area.
Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor said sometime between 11 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. Saturday that an unknown person or persons took a 42-inch Snapper 285Z Zero Turn lawn mower from a behind a residence located in the 100 block of CR 2907 between Tennessee Colony and Tucker.
The stolen mower was valued at $2,700, according to the sheriff.
Taylor said the mower’s owner had been hospitalized for several days around the time of the alleged theft.
The sheriff said the culprits would have needed a truck or trailer to haul off the mower.
“We’ve had a few thefts in this area on (FM) 645 and areas around Tennessee Colony and south of there,” Taylor stated. “If anybody has any information on the thefts, please call (Anderson County) Crimestoppers and they could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
