clearing the way

A logging company worker trims branches from logs loaded for removal Wednesday afternoon along a section of right-of-way on Texas 155 at Pert. According to Texas Department of Transportation public information officer Larry Krantz, although construction barricades have been placed, actual construction to widen a nine-mile section of Texas 155 between Pert and Frankston has not yet begun by contractor Knife River South Corp., of Waco. When complete, the widened section will be a four-lane divided highway with a grassy median, similar to the section between Palestine and Pert.
