It’s still not too late to place your order for the Angel Food Ministries February food box.

Last day to place and pay for orders is Monday. Orders may be placed from 9 a.m. until noon at the office at 801 N. Sycamore St.

Persons may pay with cash, Visa, Mastercard, debit card or Lone Star card. (There will be a $1 service charge for all credit or debit card purchases.)

Food items on the grocery list for February include: sirloin strip steaks, salisbury steak dinner entree, spllit chicken breast, breaded chicken breast filet, meaty beef ribs, pork chops, philly steak portions, peanut butter, chicken noodle soup, frosted corn flakes, frozen fresh corn, fresh onions, fresh potatoes, sliced pears, black-eyed peas and dessert item.

Each box includes enough food to feed a family of four for a week.

Food pickup day will be from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. March 1 at First Baptist Church, 5700 N. Loop 256 (next door the YMCA.)

Everyone in the community is eligible to purchase a box of groceries for $31, regardless of their income. This is not just for underprivileged families. There is no limit to how many packages of food a person can buy.

Angel Food Ministry is sponsored by Basics of Life Storehouse, a ministry of First Baptist Church; Baptist General Convention of Texas and Baptist Saline Association.

Basics of Life Storehouse is located at Lacy and Magnolia streets in Palestine. It is the red brick building facing Lacy Street between Sycamore and Magnolia.

Angel Food Ministries reserves the right to substitute any of the above items due to availability, cost and quality.

Food must be picked up by 11 a.m. March 1. No refunds or credits will be issued for unclaimed food. All sales are final.
