The Museum for East Texas Culture 2012 calendars are now available for purchase for $10 each at the museum and Mary’s Books, located at 211 W. Oak St. in Palestine.
This year’s calendar, themed “Dogwoods and Old Homes,” features historic Palestine homes and the dogwood blooms that are well-known in the area. Each month includes a collage of photos and brief history on each home.
Featured in the 2012 calendar are: The Hearne Home, the A.B. Hodges Home, the Ed Link House, the H.H. Link Home, the Bailey Summers Home, the Greenwood Home, the Bowers Home, Sol Maier/Hamilton Home, the Silliman Home, the Grant Home and the C.W. Hanks Home.
The calendar has remained a popular purchase in the community, with sponsors returning year after year to support the Museum for East Texas Culture’s fundraising project.
