Police have recovered a mini-van reported stolen earlier in the week.

Palestine Police Sgt. Larry Boyer said Friday morning that officers located a dark blue 1994 Dodge Caravan in a vacant lot in the 600 block of Van Fleet Street Thursday morning after receiving a call about an abandoned vehicle.

Upon arrival at 10:13 a.m. Thursday, officers found the mini-van with its doors locked and keys missing, Boyer said.

He added that the only thing which appeared to be missing were two 24-packs of Dr Pepper.

The van had been reported stolen from the employee parking area on the east side of Wal-Mart Supercenter on Monday.
