PALESTINE – What started as just a vision came to fruition Saturday at Palestine's Athletic Complex.
Frankston nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over LaPoynor on Friday. The game was tied at four with Frankston batting in the top of the eighth when Caden Young induced Jace Benson to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
FORNEY – The Palestine Wildcats season came to an end Friday night on the field of City Bank Stadium in a 3-2 shootout loss against the Celina Bobcats.
Palestine Ladycat Izabel Simien was named Co-District 16-4A Most Valuable Player after helping lead her team to their fourth consecutive district title.
FRANKSTON – Frankston had all cylinders firing on offense on Tuesday, winning big over LaPoynor 13-1.
ENNIS – The Palestine Wildcats are on the cusp of returning to the state soccer tournament for the first time in three years after edging past Nevada Community, 1-0, Tuesday night in Ennis.
WHITEHOUSE – The Palestine Wildcats tennis team traveled to the Whitehouse Invitational Tournament Monday where they placed first overall as a team.
ENNIS – The Palestine Wildcats are in their fifth regional tournament in the past seven years as they're pinned against the Nevada Community Braves tonight in Ennis.
NECHES – The Neches Lady Tigers were crowned district champions at the District 27-A meet Wednesday.
AUSTIN – Grapeland Sandiette Teira Jones and Neches Lady Tiger Kacie Kimbrough were both honored as All-State players.
CAYUGA – Five first-place medals for the Frankston Indians helped them run away with the District 19-2A district championship.
JASPER – The Palestine Wildcats sought revenge on the Jasper Bulldogs from Tuesday night's loss and claimed it in a 9-4 Thursday night victory on the road.
CROCKETT – Westwood's Jaysa Coney brought home three first-place medals and earned overall top athlete in the girls division at the District 20-3A meet Thursday.
JASPER – The Palestine Wildcats tied the Carthage Bulldogs for a share of the district championship at Thursday's District 17-4A track and field meet.
NECHES – Frankston picked up a needed district win Tuesday against the Neches Lady Tigers as a two-run seventh inning took the lead late for the Maidnes in their 8-6 victory.
NECHES – An eight-run third inning was the catalyst behind the Frankston Indians 14-1 victory over the Neches Tigers Tuesday afternoon.
TYLER – Head coach John Absalom said after the game it's a reason they call Diego Farias "Mr. Automatic." Farias's hat trick performance was the driving force behind the Wildcats 3-2 victory over the Lindale Eagles Tuesday.
FRANKSTON – The Frankston Indians continue to roll through their opponents as they dismantled Martin's Mill Friday, 19-5.
CROCKETT – An 11-run fourth inning from the Westwood Lady Panthers helped them completely put away the Crockett Lady Dawgs Friday night.
COMMERCE – The Palestine Wildcats got back in the win column Friday thanks to a nine-run sixth inning against the Commerce Tigers.
TYLER – The Palestine Ladycats playoff run was cut short by the Sabine Lady Cardinals Thursday night on the field of Tyler Rose Stadium, 2-1.
TYLER – After having to wait almost two years because of the pandemic, the 4A state-ranked #6 Palestine Wildcats (22-5-2) returned to the playoffs, capturing a bi-district championship, 2-0, over the Carthage Bulldogs Thursday evening.
PALESTINE – The Elkhart Elks claimed their second consecutive win with their 8-3 victory over the Westwood Panthers Tuesday night.
Westwood Lady Panther Jaysa Coney and Elkhart Lady Elk Brandi Cain were selected to the All-District 20-3A first team.
Westwood Panther Devonte Downie highlighted the District 20-3A Superlatives as he was selected as the Offensive Most Valuable Player.
LATEXO – The Grapeland Sandies picked up their second straight win Monday evening after rallying back from a 5-3 deficit at the top of the seventh.
CORPUS CHRISTI - Elkhart's Lauren Simpson brought home a second-place medal for the Lady Elks at the 3A state championships.
CORPUS CHRSITI – The Frankston Maidens returned from the the Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association state championships with hardware for the trophy case after Ja'Miyah Burton finished first in her weight class in Corpus Chrsti.
PALESITNE – The Palestine Ladycats earned their fourth consecutive district title in their district finale win over the Livingston Lady Lions Friday.
The 4A state-ranked #5 Palestine Wildcats (21-5-2) clinched the outright District Title defeating the Livingston Lions, 2-0, Friday evening.
DIBOLL – The Westwood Lady Panthers picked up their second consecutive win Tuesday evening in a 1-0 shutout against the Diboll Ladyjacks.
Four Grapeland Sandies highlighted the District 20-2A superlatives. BJ Lamb was named district MVP, Cadarian Wiley earned offensive player of the year, Keizion Ashford was awarded defensive player of the year and Omarian Wiley earned sixth man of the year.
CROSS ROADS – The Frankston Maidens strung together two impressive wins against Cross Roads Monday and Tuesday after beating them by a combined 32-1 over the two-game span.
