CROCKETT — The Palestine High School boys' soccer program certainly didn't lack for offense on Tuesday evening as the Wildcats thrashed Crockett 15-0 in District 18-4A action at Driskell Stadium.
Riley Harper netted four goals alone, and three other players scored two goals each — Javier Leonor, Luis Rangel and Tony Guzman. Leonor finished with a whopping six assists while Rangel had three helpers and Harper two.
Jose Sanchez, Arturo Nieto, Brian Armenta, Abrahan Nunez and Angel Molina also scored for the winning Wildcats.
Palestine improved to 17-0-2 heading into Friday's match at New Waverly.
Palestine JV “A”
GRAND SALINE — The Palestine junior varsity “A” group traveled to Grand Saline and earned a 7-0 victory on Monday.
Luis Castillo was a scoring dynamo with a hat trick. Yerry Ayala, Michael Chaidez, Diego Farias and Esiel Vigil also scored for Palestine (12-1-3).
Ricardo Benitez supplied three assists and Farias two, and goalkeeper Jesus Vigil recorded yet another clean sheet.

CROCKETT — Tyler Junior College pledge Isabel Garcia potted a whopping five goals, nearly half of Palestine's output, during an 11-0 rout over Crockett in 18-4A Tuesday.
Jennifer Aguilar, Salma Ruiz, Bryanna Gomez, Iris Chavez, Lacey Gambrell and Sarai Trejo also scored for the LadyCats (7-6-5).
Melissa Giron and Paola Rangel played strong defensively to help Judith Casas earn the clean sheet.
Match scrapped
CARLISLE — The Palestine High School junior varsity boys “B” team match at Carlisle originally scheduled for today has been canceled. There will be no make-up date.
