KENNEDALE — The Palestine High School boys' soccer team returns to action today at the 2019 Kennedale Round Robin.
The Wildcats (8-0-1) will play Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 11 a.m., followed by a match versus North Dallas at 2 p.m.
Palestine plays Waco La Vega at 11 a.m. on Friday, and then Athens at 3:30 p.m. The Hornets and Wildcats square off again at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Kennedale and Palestine will play in the featured match at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The winner of the tournament will be determined by a points system.
Match winners will receive six points for a win, three for a tie and one for a shutout.
Additional points may be earned based on goal differential, and there also is a series of tiebreakers.
Palestine is currently ranked No. 1 in the MaxPreps' Conference 4A state poll.

The Palestine junior varsity “A” team whitewashed Grand Saline, 6-0, on Monday night as Raul Ramirez scored twice.
Diego Farias, Luis Castillo, Ricardo Benitez and Jhan Vazquez also scored for the Wildcats (9-1-1).
Michael Chaidez contributed a pair of assists, and goalkeeper Jesus Vigil earned a clean sheet.
LUFKIN — The Palestine-Lufkin Hudson girls' soccer match originally scheduled for Tuesday was scrapped due to poor field conditions.
Palestine head coach Luis Hernandez reports the non-district contest will be made up at 10 a.m. on Saturday — with the junior varsity match first.
The LadyCats will play at home Friday versus Jacksonville, with the first kick set for 5:30 p.m. for the JV game.
MABANK — The Westwood girls' soccer team lost 11-0 on Tuesday evening, falling to 0-4-1 on the season.
The Westwood boys were originally scheduled to play Gladewater on Tuesday at home; however, Gladewater never showed up and the match was never played.
The Westwood girls play Crandall at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 29 at Panther Stadium.
Westwood’s boys (0-4-2) are off until a Feb. 5 home game versus Tenaha.
