DAWSON — After dropping six of its last seven, Cayuga got back on the winning track Tuesday after defeating Dawson 55-54.

Cayuga got hot from behind the three-point line with John Issacs leading the way with 15 points, connecting on five three-point field goals. Trey Shead finished with a double-double scoring 12 points, connecting on four three-point field goals, and pulling down 14 rebounds.

Darnell Walker added 12 points to go with seven rebounds.

The Wildcats trailed 33-27 at halftime, but outscored Dawson 17-11 in the third quarter to tie the game at 44.

Cayuga will play Blooming Grove Friday at home.

Grapeland 64, Teneha 54

GRAPELAND — Terrance Faulk scored 18 points while Andrew Walker scored 16 points as Grapeland (10-3) defeated Teneha 64-54 Tuesday night in Grapeland.

The Sandies took a 32-19 lead at halftime and extended their lead to 52-34 at the end of the third quarter.

Jeremy Williams added 10 points and Jazmin Walker added seven points for the Sandie win.

Grapeland will travel to Madisonville Friday before opening District 21-2A play at Frankston Tuesday.

Frankston 64, Emory Rains 42

ATHENS — The Frankston Indians (12-1) continued its winning ways Tuesday by defeating Emory Rains 64-42 at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens.

Johnathan Campbell scored a game-high 20 points while Tanner Welch scored 13 points and Ketrick Harmon put down 12 points.

Frankston led 28-17 at halftime and extended its lead to 15 points at the end of the third quarter.

The Indians will play Center Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Rusk Tournament.
