BETHEL — The Cayuga Ladycats handed Elkhart it’s first loss of the season Tuesday night, picking up a 58-32 win.

Cayuga (4-2) led throughout the entire game, outscoring the Lady Elks (4-1) in each quarter.

Lexus Mack led the Ladycats with 19 points and a three pointer. Kayla Richburg had a team-high 15 points for Elkhart.

The Cayuga junior varsity team defeated Elkhart 35-10.

Cayuga will play at Brook Hill on Tuesday, and the Lady Elks travel to Mildred on Tuesday.



Slocum 43, Central Heights 40



SLOCUM — The Slocum Lady Mustangs held on to defeat Central Heights in double overtime Tuesday night, 43-40.

The Lady Mustangs put together 15 points in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 31 at the end of regulation, then went on to score a combined 12 points in overtime to win.

Rebecca Thomason had a Slocum team-high 18 points, and Nicole Johnson added a trio of three pointers for 13 points.

The Lady Mustangs will play Regents Academy on Tuesday.



LaPoynor 45, Neches 35



LARUE — The LaPoynor Lady Fliers defeated Neches Tuesday night, 45-35.

The Lady Tigers got within two points early in the game, but trailed the rest of the way.

Deana Patton led with 11 points, while Kristin Cook had 10 points and Diana Patton added on eight.
