ELKHART — The Elkhart Lady Elks stayed perfect in District 21-2A play with a 41-35 win over Frankston Tuesday night.

Elkhart (2-0, 14-2) trailed at halftime to the Maidens, 21-19, but held Frankston to two points in the third quarter to establish a 29-23 lead.

Kari Haferkamp led Elkhart with 10 points while Janae Lock had nine points.

Elkhart will continue district play Tuesday at Cross Roads.



Buffalo 47, Franklin 41



FRANKLIN — The Buffalo Lady Bison turned up the defensive intensity in the fourth quarter and it translated into a 47-41 Buffalo win Tuesday night.

Buffalo, who improved to 2-0 in District 22-2A, trailed 38-36 after three quarters but the Lady Bison held Franklin to three points in the final frame for the win.

Jocelyn Gilliam led Buffalo with 18 points while Erin Nelson added 14 points.



Oakwood 56,

St. Joseph 38



OAKWOOD — Oakwood freshman Christy Cockrell scored 18 points in the Lady Panthers’ 56-38 win over St. Joseph’s Tuesday night.

Oakwood held St. Joseph to 13 points in the first half to take a 23-13 halftime lead.

Erica Ballard scored 16 points while Crystal Soria had 13 points and Chelsie Duck had 12 points.



Mt. Enterprise 34, Neches 31



MOUNT ENTERPRISE — In a defensive battle, the Neches Lady Tigers lost to Mount Enterprise 34-31 Tuesday.

Neches held Mount Enterprise to eight points in the first half but the Lady Tigers (12-6) could only manage 10 points for a 10-6 lead.

Mount Enterprise outscored Neches 26-21 in the second half for th win.

Shayla Hudson, Jessica Gleason and Jaclyn Largent all had eight points for Neches.



Cayuga 46, Bremond 34



BETHEL— The Cayuga Ladycats got a double-double from Jaimie Hill en route to defeating Bremond 46-34 Tuesday night at Wildcat Gymnasium.

Hill scored 15 points and grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds to go with three steals and two assists. Laura Downe added 11 points, while Amber Sheppard scored eight to go with 11 rebounds and four steals.

Cayuga (8-8) took a 29-22 lead at halftime and outscored Bremond 17-12 in the second half.
