Two Huntsville residents were arrested on cocaine charges after officers say they witnessed the men using the substance outside of Shenanigans nightclub early Friday morning.
Police on a bike patrol say they noticed two men sitting in a truck with its tail lights out in the night club’s parking lot around 1:45 a.m. Officers say they then noticed the men using cocaine off the dashboard in the truck and approached the vehicle.
Authorities say the driver – later identified as Alexander Parsons – treated officers with aggression and would not comply with requests to put his hands in the air. Officers removed Parsons from the vehicle and placed him and the passenger – later identified as Cody Cannon – into custody.
“Officer Jeremy Carroll did a great job seeing these men use the substance in the act,” HPD Lt. Jim Barnes said. “I am glad we got them off the streets.”
Parsons and Cannon were charged with possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Walker County Jail, both have since bonded out.
